The Story Behind The Name

My creative roots trace back to my grandmother who I called Baubles, whose passion for preserving memories in themed scrapbooks inspired my artistic journey. The more I delved into creating hand-made goods, the more I appreciated her talents. When naming my artistic alter-ego, "Darling" seemed only fitting, echoing one of my grandma's affectionate nicknames for me. To add a personal touch, I decided on the abbreviated form, DRLNG, aligning seamlessly with my overarching personal branding as KNDL Design.

DLRNG Designs isn't just a small business; it's my creative passion turned into a thriving venture. Specializing in hand-painted birthday and bridal sashes, I showcased and sold my unique creations on Etsy.com, an expansive online marketplace.

What started as a friend's request for a 21st birthday sash, prompted by my artistic flair, quickly evolved into a significant source of financial support throughout my college years and early post-graduation. With a growing reputation in the sorority community, demand for my sashes soared, often resulting in up to seven orders in a single week.

After successfully completing 70 sashes, I recognized it was time to take my venture to the next level. Transitioning from a word-of-mouth and social media approach, I officially opened an online shop via Etsy. This transformation also prompted a rebranding, shifting from the original name, Sashes & Stickers, to the sleek and revamped DRLNG Designs. This bold step allowed me to reach a wider audience, solidifying DLRNG Designs as a hub for unique, handcrafted sashes.
